This policy covers the Avoid Nephrotoxins iOS game and this website, operated by David John Wallace. For privacy questions, email privacy@avoidnephrotoxins.com.
Information stored on your device
The game stores settings and game records on your device, including sound and tutorial preferences, score-submission preferences, daily run allowances, personal bests, achievements, streaks, registry entries, benchmark performance, and completed scores waiting for submission. We do not operate a server that receives these local records.
Active runs are held in memory and are not saved for recovery after the app closes or is removed from memory. Completed records and pending scores are stored locally. The game does not provide its own cross-device progress synchronization. Device backup and restore may be handled by Apple according to your settings.
Optional Game Center features
If you choose to use Game Center, the game communicates with Apple to authenticate your Game Center player, submit completed run scores and associated game statistics, and retrieve rankings and leaderboard entries. Your Game Center player name and scores may be visible to other players under Apple’s Game Center settings.
You can choose manual submission or enable automatic submission in Settings. Unsubmitted completed scores remain on your device for later submission. Daily scores can only be submitted while the corresponding benchmark is open; closed benchmark scores remain local. Turning off automatic submission does not remove scores already submitted to Apple.
Apple handles Game Center account information under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Apple processes the optional Full Filtration in-app purchase. The game uses Apple’s purchase system to check purchase status and restore eligible access. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple handles payment and transaction information under its policies.
Advertising and analytics in the app
The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not sell your personal information.
Support and privacy email
If you contact us, we receive the email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer your request, troubleshoot problems, and improve the game. Support mail is hosted by Zoho, which processes messages to provide its email service under Zoho’s Privacy Policy.
Please do not send medical records, passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive information. We retain correspondence only as long as needed to address the request and maintain necessary support records, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion by emailing the privacy address above.
This website
These informational pages use no advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, or contact forms. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the website. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. Following an external link or sending an email is subject to the destination service’s policies.
Your choices
- Change automatic score submission and tutorial settings inside the app.
- Manage Game Center visibility and account settings through Apple.
- Deleting the app may remove locally stored progress and pending scores. Restoring a purchase restores eligible access, not local game history.
- Contact us to ask about or request deletion of support correspondence. Apple manages information held in its Game Center and purchase services.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
